Established in 1892, the Terminal City Club is Vancouver’s most prominent private business club. In 2007, TCC hired SSDG to design and manage the renovation of its premises. The challenge was to create a new image to distinguish TCC from other private business clubs and to attract new younger members while satisfying the existing membership. Improving the aging facilities would also increase overall usage of the Club, resulting in a dynamic and energized environment. “Honouring Tradition, Embracing Tomorrow” became the project’s tagline.

The Club’s original objectives were met and surpassed with the renovation; membership immediately increased, and there is a feeling of renewed pride in the Club. The membership is excited to have a Club that satisfies their needs and provides a comfortable and prestigious environment.
