This 14,465 sq. ft. showroom was conceived around community, innovation, culture, and customer experience. By integrating subtle nods to Abbotsford’s urban-rural landscape—where agriculture and industry intersect—we created a flowing space with carefully defined circulation routes, framed views, and a blend of history and modernity. The design feels cohesive yet dynamic, reflecting Midland Appliance’s desire to inspire visitors with the latest in appliance technology while highlighting the warmth of the local community.

At the heart of the showroom lies a live demonstration kitchen that not only serves as a venue for cooking events but also anchors the space, reinforcing Midland’s brand identity. Historical architectural elements were preserved wherever possible, forming the basis for over 20 kitchen vignettes that cater to a range of styles and appliance brands. Each vignette connects seamlessly to the overall space, ensuring visitors can comfortably explore different product lines without losing sight of Midland’s unified vision. By combining thoughtful lighting, consistent materials, and subtle design flourishes, the new showroom offers a unique, high-end retail experience tailored to both the city’s character and the demands of modern appliance consumers.
