A global leader in factual television, Great Pacific Media has produced countless shows with their partners around the world for over two decades. Jumping off of their already creative and vivacious company culture, we built the design concept to ultimately inspire imagination, liveliness, and modernity, while offering a sense of comfort.

When establishing our direction for design aesthetic, we focused on dynamic motions interconnected by a focal point, and the contrast of vibrant and calm energy. Through this design inspiration, we applied pops of vibrant colour for energy, inviting warm wood tones for comfort, expanding energetic lines for creativity, and subdued colours and solid forms for focus. The materials and finishes echo the colour tone of the Great Pacific Media blue, complemented by the soft tone of the natural wood. Through this balance of elements, this office offers a modernized workplace that mimics the media production and theatre experience, with the addition of vibrant injections of colour.

Acoustic elements were incorporated throughout the office, adding to the visual aesthetic by mimicking wood paneling in the front lounge and meeting room, and as linear baffles above the collaborative workstation area. Light fixtures throughout the space all work together, following the same simplistic linear style. To ensure space was utilized to the maximum potential, a moveable wall was installed separating the kitchen from the primary meeting room. This flexible system allows for town hall meetings or events to take place in both spaces to be used as one, increasing the use scenarios possible for this office design.
