Galvanize, a global data-driven audit management software company was growing beyond the physical limitations of their existing office space and decided that this was the perfect opportunity to start from scratch and create an environment that is a reflection of their dynamic and diverse culture. From the project outset, the goal was to achieve a new workspace that visually and functionally aligned with the ACL corporate values and workstyles, providing an environment that supports & encourages staff to excel, and facilitates recruitment and retention. Employee engagement was a critical component of making this goal a reality. A team of department representatives dubbed the ‘Transformers’ was established to involve the staff and receive feedback on key design decisions throughout the project.
The new office design was successful in achieving all of the client's goals, and going one step further to additionally promote new workplace standards that encourage people to cross-pollinate within the company; support each other, share ideas, and inspire collaboration. The adopted design strategies facilitate flexibility and adaptability of their workplace in the future and promote well-being through a healthier office environment in which exercise and interaction are planned for and encouraged.
