SSDG drew their modern and elegant interior design ideas from Eveline Charles award-winning brand, service and product offering to create a fresh retail presence on Vancouver’s fashionable South Granville Street in the 2-level 5,800 square foot facility.

The Eveline Charles experience starts at the street level entrance with a strong design statement, which creates a dynamic focal point for the retail displays. The fixtures are made of backlit acrylic and stainless steel; this provides a marvelous backdrop for the makeup and hair products. A canted 11-foot high wall slices a curve through the 2nd floor space, dividing the serene spa from the high-energy salon. The styling stations, product display case goods and the sliding spa doors are finished in black-brown stained veneer and punctuate the neutral clean palette of linen white and backlit graphic images. Stainless steel, polished porcelain tile, glossy white laminates and black leather seating define the salon area, while bamboo flooring, black honed granite and subtle wall finishes balance the state-of-the-art equipment in the spa. Lighting the salon was a key component. Numerous light sources have been used to high-light product, to bath surfaces in gentle washes of light or as in the spa treatment rooms sequenced colored lighting envelops the client in ever-changing ambiance.
