The Coquitlam Education Learning Centre’s design concept breathes balance, innovation, and wellness into the building while also celebrating local themes of West Coast modernity.

Wood features and heavy timber beams can be seen throughout the building, drawing in the eye for visual interest and a sense of warmth. Undulating pendant lighting in the foyer/reception area act as both a focal point upon entrance, as well as a means of connecting the two spaces together to make the large mass of space feel more digestible and scaled down.

Meeting room and closed office design echo each other to establish equality and continuity, incorporating light wood finishes and modern dropped linear lighting. Materials and finishes were selected to establish a timeless feel, resulting in an enduring design for years to come.
