A multitude of changes are expected to occur in the corporate workplace in the next 30 years. With technology evolving fast and furious it can be “mind-boggling” to keep up with all of the new tech trends. We are going to breakdown along with James Smith from Inhouse Broadcasting Inc. the trends that we see happening now.

Communication – how and where we communicate

Video conferencing is cutting business travel almost in half, saving organizations time and money. It’s also replacing telephone conferencing and improving the quality of communication.

Flexibility – change is good!

Digital signage is increasing due to the decline in the cost of LCD screens. Current growth is in the retail and commercial market with corporate close behind.

Automation – intuitive technology

Automation has evolved far beyond the touch panel and control system, it has become the main source for controlling, managing and presenting information. Control and automate lights, window coverings, screens, thermostats, and AV equipment – all from an intuitive easy-to-use touch panel, remote, or from your ipad/tablet on an intelligent building management platform.

What can we expect in the future? We don’t know what’s coming, but it’s coming quickly and constantly so we need to build in the ability to react to change.
