SSDG WINS BIG AT IDIBC AWARDS OF EXCELLENCE
SSDG Interiors was recently presented with Interior Design Institute of BC awards for three of our projects; ACL Services, Cossette, and Oakwyn Realty. It’s always an honour to be recognized in our industry for our work but we were ecstatic to be called up the stage three times for these wonderful projects.
These awards could not have been won without the incredible team of people who were involved in each of these projects; contractors, consultants and of course our clients ACL Services, Cossette, and Oakwyn Realty.
Global reach, local roots is a touchstone that acknowledges ACL Services’ worldwide expansion while paying homage to their hometown roots in Vancouver. From the idea of local vs. global, the design team explored contrasting ideas; how they push/pull revealing something new and sparking innovation. The resulting impacts are translated into the physical space through the layering of materials and creation of ‘disruptive’ transitions between departments.
With locations across Canada, Cossette needed their Vancouver office to speak of the Cossette brand while exuding unique local elements. A playful gallery-like concept was chosen to be both reflective of the fun and energetic Cossette team while creating a minimal backdrop in which to showcase the dynamic visuals they create. The bright and white space welcomes vibrant punches of colour through furniture and artwork in addition to wood elements bringing a touch of warmth and representing the natural wonder that surrounds Vancouver.
Oakwyn Realty is a fresh new residential real estate brokerage that entered the Vancouver market to bring a collaborative model to the industry. For their flagship location, the goal was to attract and retain new realtors by providing a modern office environment that encourages interaction and cooperation between realtors. A very clean aesthetic was employed for this job, using Oakwyn’s branding as the primary driver with subtle elements representing Vancouver used in graphics and materials.
