With their lease expiring in 2013, Japanese restaurant Miku needed to find a new larger venue; their 85 seat space lacked a lounge and waiting area, resulting in guests being turned away. SSDG Interiors came on board to design their new 200 + seat restaurant in prime Downtown Vancouver waterfront to create a visual celebration inspired from their seafood specialty: Aburi style sushi. Highlighting views was a priority in the planning both to feature the meticulous preparation of food and the stunning views of the North Shore mountains. With a full house everyday, Miku’s sales have increased by 100 % since their relocation.
