With their lease expiring in 2013, Japanese restaurant Miku needed to find a new larger venue; their 85 seat space lacked a lounge and waiting area, resulting in guests being turned away. SSDG Interiors came on board to design their new 200 + seat restaurant in prime Downtown Vancouver waterfront to create a visual celebration inspired from their seafood specialty: Aburi style sushi. Highlighting views was a priority in the planning both to feature the meticulous preparation of food and the stunning views of the North Shore mountains. With a full house everyday, Miku’s sales have increased by 100 % since their relocation.

“After five years of exceptional growth and wonderful community support we are very pleased and extremely excited to share our new waterfront location with our valued guests. We are so grateful for SSDG’s amazing vision and thank everyone involved in making this incredible move a reality!”
